Heartfelt Greetings from the East,

It's with immense gratitude that I extend this message to you.

Reflecting on this remarkable year fills me with deep appreciation.

First and foremost, my heartfelt thanks go to our dedicated 2023 officer line, whose tireless efforts have been pivotal in sustaining our lodge's vibrancy. I'm also profoundly thankful to our Past Masters, on whose wisdom and guidance I have relied: Worshipful Schneider, Bertolli, Lerma, Hagopian, McCall, Bayhylle, Kramer, Oliva, West, Haff, and Bingham.

A special mention must go to my brothers Bob Brown, Rudy Negrete, and Chima Ojukwu, for their unique contributions and camaraderie. 

I'm also excited to announce our incoming line of Officers: Worshipful Master Michael Schneider, Senior Warden Claude Barreau, Junior Warden Raul Tolentino, Treasurer Tigran Arutunyan, Secretary Victor Lerma, PM, Senior Deacon Rich Mudge, Chaplain Mark Abramson, Assistant Secretary Cedric Williamson, PM and a hearty congratulations to our Past Hiram Award winners: Junior Deacon Duwayne Wells and Marshal Spyros Pappas and some of our newer Brothers that will be appointed once they are eligible.

Our youth orders, Hollywood Chapter DeMolay and Bethel 289 Tarzana Job’s Daughters, along with their advisors, deserve our recognition and support for their inspiring work.

This year was a record-breaker with numerous degrees conferred, a multitude of proficiencies achieved, and special celebrations including the Hiram Award for Worshipful James Bayhylle, as well as several Masons receiving 25 and 50-year awards. Our social events, ranging from bowling to the unforgettable trip to Catalina Island, along with Brother Rich Mudge’s incredible efforts to provide exquisite Dinners, all of which were not only fun but also a testament to our strong fellowship.

As I reflect on my journey, having been with Hollywood Lodge No. 355 approaching my 20th year as a Master Mason in January 2024, I am filled with humility and gratitude to the Brothers of this lodge. This journey has been one of learning, growth, and making lifelong friendships. 

Looking back, I can confidently say that joining this brotherhood was one of the best decisions of my life.
