Warmest greetings from the East! 

I am filled with immense gratitude to the Almighty for blessing us with such an extraordinary year. I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated team of Officers and lodge brethren at Hollywood Lodge 355 who have been instrumental in making this year remarkable.

In the past month, during our Stated Meeting, we had the privilege of honoring Chester Christenson, Past Master with the prestigious Golden Veteran Award. This accolade celebrates his remarkable 50 years of dedicated service as a Master Mason, a milestone that speaks volumes about his commitment and passion.

Adding to the highlights of the year, we participated in the 174th Annual Communication held in San Francisco, an event that showcased our unity and strength as a fraternity. The attendance was over 1,000 brethren and dignitaries from several countries and states. This is the largest attendance since the early 1990’s. 

Looking ahead, the month of November promises to be eventful and significant. We are poised for the elections of the 2024 Officers, a process that will shape the future leadership of our lodge. 

Additionally, we are planning to pay tribute to several Master Masons who have reached the 25-year milestone in their Masonic journey, during our Stated Meeting.

A particularly momentous occasion is set for November 9, 2023. We are excitedly preparing for a triple 1st Degree initiation ceremony. It is a joyous event where we will welcome our future brothers Gerald, Marshall, and Dixon into our Masonic family.

Reflecting on the year, with all the degrees conferred, proficiencies achieved, and events successfully conducted, I can confidently declare this year a resounding success. It has been a year of growth, learning, and brotherhood.

As we look forward, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead for our esteemed lodge. There are more events and milestones to achieve, and I invite everyone to stay informed about our upcoming activities. Dear Members and Friends of Hollywood Lodge #355 F&AM, 

The summer is over for the girls we did not meet in the month of July or August, so I do not have much to report. 

The one event we did attend in August we our Annual Grand Guardians Official Visit. The Girls met at the Simi Valley Lodge and had a quick meeting with the Grad Guardian Mrs. Janice Herechski and Associate Grand Guardian Mr. Eric Langdon. During this meeting the girls had Mrs. Herechski and Mr. Langdon do a western music name that tune with Mrs. Herechski taking the win. After the meeting the girls line danced and had some fun with the adults. All in all a good day.

September, we returned back to our regular meeting schedule of 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. I will have more to report next month.

We at Bethel 289 Tarzana wish everyone to continue to be Healthy and Safe. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays every month at 7 p.m.
