Hello from the East,
Our Lodge is experiencing an exceptional year.
Our journey to Catalina Island was a singular event, setting us apart from many other lodges. The trip was an enriching blend of family engagement, leadership discussions, and joyful celebration. Lodge leaders convened in a distinctive cave, symbolizing King Solomon's Sanctum Sanctorum, or Holy of Holies, surrounded by family and friends. Also, in September, we enjoyed a fantastic outing at a Dodgers game, courtesy of Masons4Mitts.
Furthermore, in a remarkable occurrence this September, we had a DOUBLE-DOUBLE: two Brethren, Brother Anar Babazade and Brother Amir "Mike" Mohammadi, were passed to the Fellowcraft degree on the same evening, September 21, 2023.
As we set our sights on October, the upcoming stated meeting promises to be memorable, highlighted by a sumptuous dinner from Les Sisters' Southern Kitchen & BBQ. Additionally, we'll be reviewing a number of new membership applications. Very significantly, Worshipful Chester Christenson is set to receive his 50-year Golden Veteran recognition, and later in the month we plan to raise Brother Alessandro Meynardi to the sublime degree of Master Mason.
The invigorated spirit and growing enthusiasm within our Lodge are genuinely reasons for gratitude. Serving the renowned Hollywood Lodge is both a tremendous honor and a distinct privilege. For updates on future activities, please refer to our calendar at www.hollywoodmasons.org.
Sincerely and Fraternally,

On Catalina Island, to us Masons, a special cave serves as a representation of King Solomon's Sanctum Sanctorum, or Holy of Holies. It was here that the upper echelons of Hollywood Lodge convened to chart the lodge's future direction. The outlook for Hollywood Lodge is promising.
Wisdom is found where you look to learn. We can all continue to learn. Those that that blame, shame or complain may never reach their full potential. But those that chose to understand, to learn, to make a difference, have fought the good fight and will have no regrets. Where are you my brother?
It was a great time joining with other Masons from throughout Southern California to watch a Dodgers Game and support our youth charity.

During the month of September, the Southern California Jurisdiction of DeMolay elected our very own Jody Williams, from Hollywood DeMolay as the Master Councilor for the Southern California Jurisdiction which is the DeMolay equivalent of Grand Master of Masons, except for all of Southern California, since they have divided the state into two jurisdictions. He is pictured with his father David Williams, who is an active Master Mason and is interested in affiliating with our lodge. Congratulations, Hollywood DeMolay Brother Jody Williams.

Dear Members and Friends of Hollywood Lodge #355 F&AM,
In September, we resumed our usual schedule of meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. As Halloween draws near, the girls are looking forward to the festivities. The Annual Shrine Halloween Party, a highlight of the year, will see a large turnout of young people from across Southern California.
Here at Bethel 289 Tarzana, our ongoing wish is for everyone to remain healthy and safe.
Our gatherings take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, starting at 7 p.m.
