How it Began
On the night of January 8, 1903, a group of thirteen Master Masons took their first steps in the formation of Hollywood Lodge No. 355 F. & A.M. A dispensation was sought, and on April 1, 1903, permission to organize was granted. The first meeting of Hollywood Masonic Lodge No. 355 was on May 1, 1903, which is the considered the Birthday of the Lodge. The lodge was constituted on October 28, 1903. The now historic Hollywood Masonic Temple in Hollywood was dedicated on July 8, 1922. It was the permanent home to the lodge until relocation to Tarzana, California.

Hollywood Lodge membership is open to men 18 and older who meet the qualifications and standards of character and intention, and who believe in a Supreme Being. Men of all ethnic and religious backgrounds are welcome.
One of Freemasonry’s customs is to not solicit members – men must seek membership on their own initiative. Anyone is welcome to request information about the fraternity.
