Greetings from the East,
This year is shaping up wonderfully for our Lodge.
During our stated Meeting on August 3rd, 2023, it was our distinct honor to celebrate Past Master Harold Bingham by bestowing upon him the 50-year Golden Veteran Award. Recalling the days of 1980 when he served as the Master, the Officers adorned white tuxedos and the hall was full of members marking the occasion.
On the 31st of August, our prospective Officers proved their proficiency in the first degree.
Unfortunately, the unfavorable weather conditions brought by Hurricane Hilary compelled us to reschedule our much-anticipated trip to Catalina Island as well as our 3rd Degree for Brother Alessandro Meynardi.
Looking ahead to September, our Stated Meeting promises to be memorable with a delightful dinner, courtesy of Taqueria El Tapatio. We're also set to review several membership applications. Furthermore, we're thrilled about the upcoming Mason for Mitts event at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday September 13, the District School of Instruction on September 14, and our rescheduled day trip to Catalina Island on September 16. Later in the year, we're eager to present another Golden Veterans award and to celebrate the 25-year Mason milestone.
Our Lodge's vibrancy and growing energy are indeed reasons to be grateful. Serving the finest Lodge in Tarzana is both an honor and a privilege. For details on upcoming activities, do visit our calendar at www.hollywoodmasons.org.
Sincerely and Fraternally,

Dear Members and Friends of Hollywood Lodge #355 F&AM,
The summer is over for the girls we did not meet in the month of July or August, so I do not have much to report.
The one event we did attend in August was our Annual Grand Guardians Official Visit. The Girls met at the Simi Valley Lodge and had a quick meeting with the Grand Guardian Mrs. Janice Herechski and Associate Grand Guardian Mr. Eric Langdon. During this meeting the girls had Mrs. Herechski and Mr. Langdon do a western music name that tune with Mrs. Herechski taking the win. After the meeting the girls line danced and had some fun with the adults. All in all a good day.
September, we return back to our regular meeting schedule of 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. I will; have more to report next month.
We at Bethel 289 Tarzana wish everyone to continue to be Healthy and Safe.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays every month at 7 p.m.
